We get involved in a wide range of events such as talks at schools and amateur astronomy clubs, special trade days, star parties and observing trips. Here's a list of the things we have done in the past. If your club or organisation would like Green Witch to attend one of your events, or organise a special event for you, please contact us.

• Tuesday 23rd December Impromptu Chrsitmas Party
  Any excuse for a party. This one was held in the showroom.
• Wednesday 17th December Staff Christmas Lunch
  Very pleasent occasion with excellent company and good food.

  November 2003

• Friday 28th November Sawtry Astronomical Society
  Neil gave a talk on the Arizona Sky Village.
• Saturday 15th November Intermediate Course
  Jeffrey gave one of his one-day courses that follows on from the Beginners Course.
• Saturday 1st November Green Witch's 5th Birthday
  Held at Neil's house to celebrate 5 successful years and a lot of water under the bridge.

  October 2003

• Friday 24th to Sunday 26th October Kielder Forest Sky Camp
  Neil and Lesley attended the sky camp and put on a Green Witch trade stand. Despite the cold weather we enjoyed the camp and plan to go again.
• Tuesday 7th October Stour Astronomical Society
  Neil gave a talk to the society.
• Friday 3rd October BC&F Autumn Seminar
  A day with BC&F finding out about the latest products from Meade and BC&F Astro Engineering.

  September 2003

• Friday 26th to Sunday 28th September Whirlpool Star Party, Birr, Ireland
  Our annual treat. Lesley and Neil attended this excellent meeting once again.
• Saturday 20th September FAS Meeting, Cambridge
  Green Witch attended the meeting with a trade stand.
• Saturday 13th September Astronomy for Absolute Beginners
  Another of Jeffrey's very popular one-day courses.
• Saturday 6th September BAA Meeting, York
  We took a small trade stand to York where we found the host astronomy club to be particularly warm and friendly. We had an h-alpha telescope there which we were able to demonstrate. A short video was made of the view through the telescope. This was shown during the meeting.

  August 2003

• Wednesday 27th August 2004 Mars at Midnight
  We held a 'star party' to mark Mars' opposition. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate but about 50 people came and had an enjoyable evening with a talk, quiz and light refreshments.

• Saturday 19th July BC&F Astro Engineering Open Day
  Green Witch held a special BC&F Astro Engineering day to show the latest accessories from this prolifc supplier.

  June 2003

• Sunday 15th June 2003 Nowton Park Country Fair
  We had a trade stand at the fair, selling telescopes, binoculars and metal detectors.

  May 2003

• Wednesday 14th May 2003 Visit to Fulbourn Fen
  As corporate members and sponsors of The Wildlife Trust we were invited for a guided tour of one of their reserves. On a showery afternoon we had a very pleasent walk with Liz and Lorna followed by tea at a local hostelry. We recommend Fulbourn Fen as a good place for a gentle stroll that is within a short distance of Cambridge.
• Wednesday 7th May 2003 Transit of Mercury

• Saturday 22nd March 2003 IoA Open Day
  We provided a trade stand and showed lots of people solar prominences through the SolarView 50 at the Institute of Astronomy's Open Day.

• Friday 21st February to Friday 28th February 2003 Visit to the Arizona Sky Village

• Friday 14th February 2003 Newton Astronomical Society
  Neil gave a talk on the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes. Quite appropriate as the venue was Woolsthorpe House where Isaac Newton was born and lived for many years.
• Friday, Saturday 7/8th February 2003 Astrofest

• Wednesday 5th February 2003 Bedford AS Star Party at Green Witch
  We organised and hosted a star party for Bedford Astronomical Society. The weather co-operated and we had a very enjoyable evening.
