Astronomy and Space Research offer endless possibilities for firing young people's imaginations |
The founder of Green Witch was responsible for starting the Royal Greenwich Observatory's Hands-On Universe project which seeks to bring the excitement of research astronomy into the classroom. Phase 1 of Hands-On Universe was a Starter Pack aimed at Key Stage 2 which was well-received by primary schools. Phase 2 developed into an interactive Astronomy CD-ROM produced by Anglia Multimedia.
We believe sincerely in the idea that astronomy is an attractive subject which can stimulate young people to take a closer interest in science and the world around them, which is why Green Witch is offering to help teachers find the resources they need to teach astronomy with confidence.

A former employee of Green Witch, Andy Green, now owns and operates the StarDome Planetarium which is one of the best mobile planetaria in the country. Andy is an excellent lecturer with a life-long passion for space and astronomy. We recommend him highly and are confident that any school would benefit from a visit. Further details can be found at the StarDome Web Site
