Our staff have been associated with some of the world's most successful and largest telescope projects, and we plan to take you behind the scenes on some of them. We also plan to bring you news of the projects we continue to work on. This may take some time to set up as we have other priorities to attend to first. One of the most exciting developments in UK telescope manufacturing in recent years has been the formation of Telescope Technologies Limited on Merseyside. Originally a joint venture between the Royal Greenwich Observatory and Liverpool's John Moores University, TTL is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of JMU with a brand new factory on the Twelve Quays site in Birkenhead. TTL is building three 2-metre telescopes, one for JMU (the Liverpool Telescope), one for India (the IUCAA Telescope) and one for UK schools and public education (the Faulkes Telescope). Several potential new contracts are under discussion.
