- Thursday 27th October to Monday 31st October 2005 ASV Star Party
The Arizona Sky Village will host its first Star Party which promises to be one of the best in the world. Pristine clear, dark, skies with an international line-up of top speakers will attract astronomers from around the world. Participants will be able to continue observing until 5th November. - Monday 24th October 2005 Anton Vamplew Book Signing, Liverpool Spaceport
Anton Vamplew is the 'Blue Peter Astronomer' and he is promoting his latest book with a signing tour of the UK. We arranged for him to do one at the Spaceport in Liverpool and will be there to help on the day. We hope to see you if you are in that part of the world. Click here for details of the Spaceport.

A one-day course designed for people who have attended 'Astronomy for Absolute Beginners' or who have some basic knowledge that they want to build on. Click here for details
- Monday 3rd October 2005 Partial Eclipse of the Sun
We shall hold an eclipse party at the showroom with an opportunity to observe the Sun through white light and hydrogen alpha filters.

Saturday 1st October 2005 FAS Convention, Cambridge
The FAS will be holding its convention at the Institute of Astronomy (IoA), Cambridge. Green Witch plans to be there with a trade stand.

Saturday 27th August 2005 Solar Day
A chance to try different telescopes on the Sun and to learn what to do in preparation for the Solar Eclipse in October. How to view the Sun safely, how to show it safely to children, how to photograph it and much more. Try out a Hydrogen-alpha telescope to see solar flares for yourself.

- Monday 25th July 2005 Space Port Opening
Neil and Lucy attended an evening reception to preview the new Space Port on Merseyside. Co-located with the Seacombe ferry terminal on the Wirral, the Space Port is the latest attraction featuring space and astronomy. There's a simulator, planetarium and a wide range of interactive exhibits that will intereste children and adults alike. Combine it with a 'Ferry Cross the Mersey' for a great afternoon out and the best view of the Liverpool waterfront. The Space Port opened officially to the public on Tuesday 26th July 2005. We had a trade stand at the East of England July Show near Peterborough from 17th-19th July and showed hundreds of people the Sun in hudrogen-alpha light.

We had a trade stand at the Cambridgeshire County Show at Wimpole Home Farm, Wimpole, near Royston (the National Trust property)

- Saturday 21st May 2005 Binocular and Spotting Scope Day
An open day with the emphasis on choosing and using binoculars and spotting scopes. An opportunity to try a wide range of equipment and enjoy some discount prices.
- Friday 13th May 2005 'Lucky Stars' Star Party
We held a Star Party from 8 pm to 10 pm. The crescent Moon, Jupiter and Saturn were well-placed for observing, even before it got dark, and a large crowd were able to try out several different telescopes and binoculars. A most enjoyable evening.
- Tuesday 10th May 2005 Caldecote Tuesday Club
Neil gave a talk about the Arizona Sky Village to the Caldecote Tuesday Club.

Wednesday 4th May 2005 Bedford School Astronomy Competition
Neil joined Monica Grady and the Head of Physics to judge the school's competition called 'Mysteries of the Solar System'. Seven schools entered the competition and made short presentations. The standard was very high and some of the schools came up with entertaining ways of unveiling some of the solar system's mysteries.

Saturday 8th January 2005 "Using Your ETX" Course
Lee gave a course on how to get the best from your ETX. It was free to anyone who had bought an ETX from Green Witch and was very well received. We will arrange repeats to meet future demand. Please contact us on 01954 211288 if you are interested. The course is also available at a reasonable cost to people who have bought their ETX elsewhere.

Green Witch's birthday was celebrated by a star party with fancy dress and discounts for customers. Great fun but a shame the weather stopped us observing the Sun and early evening objects.

Lee was there with a trade stand. This star camp is held in beautiful countryside with stunning dark skies. Well worth the trip.

John and Andy attended a day's training and familiarisation on the new range of binoculars from Leica. They found the Leica Ultrvaids absolutely stunning.

We had a lunch at the Black Horse in Dry Drayton to celebrate some good sales figures resulting from the team's hard work.
- Saturday 26th June BAA Meeting
Green Witch supported this event with a display of telescopes and pictures from the Arizona Sky Village at the Cavendish Laboratory. There was a good deal of interest in the Sky Village, both from casual observers and from dedicated deep-sky imagers.
- Saturday 19th June Webb Society AGM
Green Witch supported this event with a trade stand at the IoA Cambridge.
- Friday 18th June Battle of the Planets - Final
A jubilant Julie Wilcock found the winning ticket in her bar of Galaxy chocolate at the final draw of the Battle of the Planets competition, organised by Q103 with Green Witch Telescopes. She won a holiday of a lifetime at the Arizona Sky Village in America. Click here to read the press release

Tuesday 8th June Transit of Venus
First one since 1882. Breakfast with Venus and Green Witch was a great success with over 100 people getting superb views of the transit in white light and h-alpha. We supplied free bacon sandwiches and drinks throughout the morning which was clear and sunny.Click here for more information
