The rock-solid Gibraltar mount is best matched with Tele Vue's longer, heavier 4" scopes. The larger bearing surfaces and thicker wood legs best handle the loads, especially for high power viewing. The Gibraltar tripods are American made in a choice of solid ash or walnut wood for beauty and quick vibration dampening. Leg extensions raise the tripod height to 5 feet, still ideally sized for use with the Air-Chair observing stool. An accessory tray ties the legs together for rigidity.

The Tele-Pod Mount is a complete 7 lb., Alt-Az, mounting system, great for traveling with Tele Vue's smaller scopes. Telescope height ranges from 28" to 62". The 2-section, black anodized, aluminum tripod legs are foam covered. Each leg has a retractable rubber-tipped foot which reveals a metal ground spike. The center column has a 1/4-20 stud on one end and a removable 3/8-16 stud base on the other end. The Yoke & Cradle type mount head balances your scope at its center of gravity. Because the Tele-Pod head has a built-in azimuth bearing, it can be removed and used on any camera tripod having 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 screws. Head and tripod also sold separately.
Tele-Pod can now be fitted with the Sky Tour System.
