The Planets On-line Java Application
The Castle Point Astronomy Club's web site contains an on-line Java application called 'The Planets'. You can run it on-line or download it to use on your own PC. Well worth a look.

COAA is a friendly observatory in the beautiful Algarve run by ex-patriate Britons, Bev and Jan Ewen-Smith. The British Astronomical Association is a national organisation, founded in 1890, which encourages amateur astronomy through meetings, sectional groups and its publications. Visit the BAA Information Page where you will find full details of the Objectives, the Observing Sections and Section Directors, the Officers of the Association, Publications, Meetings, Instruments, Library and Educational Policy. A Newsletter is published every two months.
Society for Popular Astronomy
The Society for Popular Astronomy brings astronomy to everyone. Whether you are young or old, a beginner or an experienced skywatcher, you'll get a great deal from the SPA. Formed in 1953 as the Junior Astronomical Society, the SPA is Britain's brightest astronomy society.
The Astronomer
This is the home page of The Astronomer group, TA for short. We produce a magazine for the advanced amateur and our aim is to publish all observations of astronomical interest as soon as possible after they are made. The magazine has been published monthly since 1964 and subscribers are found all over the world. Back issues of magazines dating back to 1977 are available. We also provide a very comprehensive electronic circulars service to keep our members up to date. All of this is available for a modest subscription.
The Webb Society
Established in 1967, the Webb Society exists to encourage amateur observations of double stars and 'deep-sky' objects such as star-clusters and nebulae, and to provide a forum where observers can communicate and publish the results of their work. Recommended for anyone interested in extending their hobby.
