Astrophotography with a Web CamWeb Cams offer a cost-effective way of taking astrophotos with your telescope and are becoming very popular. One of the best Mars images taken from the ground in 2003 was taken by a web cam and this half-day course is designed to teach you the techniques needed to produce similar high-quality images.
Topics covered by the course include:
- Why use a web cam?
- Choosing the hardware
- Methods of attaching the web cam to your telescope
- Imaging techniques, use of filters
- Software - free sources, stacking, shift and add
- Image processing
