About Us

Introduction

Telescopes & Binoculars for Astronomers and Birdwatchers

Green Witch was born at midnight on Hallowe'en 1998 and rapidly grew to become one of the country's leading suppliers of top quality telescopes, binoculars and accessories. Our professional background gained at the Royal Greenwich Observatory and friendly, approachable manner have been key factors in Green Witch's success and we remain committed to providing our customers with the best service possible.

Opening Hours

We are open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and do not close for lunch.

Until Christmas we shall stay open for late night shopping on Wednesdays until 8 p.m. When the weather allows you will also be able to try out telescopes on the sky.

We are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays. We also close between Christmas and New Year.

We welcome telephone, fax and email enquiries and always try to respond quickly. Personal callers are always sure of a warm welcome at our showroom which is open six days a week.

How to Find Us

Our showroom is located on the outskirts of Cambridge and is easily accessible from all directions. We have plenty of free parking and you can bring your car right up to the door for loading.

Consultancy

We offer a consultancy service for anyone wishing to set up an observatory or a large telescope. Current and recent projects include a school's observatory in Dubai, a lunar observatory in Saudi Arabia and school and university observatories in the United Kingdom.

The work is undertaken by Neil Parker who was the Technical Director of the Royal Greenwich Observatory and by Dr Lee Sproats, a professional astrophysicist. Full details and CVs are available on request.
