The Colli-Mate Deluxe collimating eyepiece is a combination of a sighting tube and Cheshire eyepiece. The sighting tube’s narrow field of view and crosshairs provide a centering reference for the telescope’s optical elements. The Cheshire eyepiece has a means of providing illumination to a target face (set at 45 degrees to the illuminating hole) that will be used to collimate the primary mirror.
The new range of full aperture solar observing filters offer superb high-resolution views of the white light phenomena that can be seen on the solar disk. Sunspots showing some natural colour as well as faculae are easily visible and even the granular structure of the photosphere is visible in many small instruments. All Sol-Vu filters have rigid aluminium mountings and use three nylon lock screws to achieve a firm reliable fastening to your telescope. Plus, three thick but soft self-adhesive neoprene foam pads are supplied to improve the fit if needed. The Sol-Vu offers truly stunning natural-looking solar views using the well-established Baader AstroSolar‘ safety film.

Camera lens and cradle adaptor kit for Meade Deep-Sky Imager Pro Turns your Meade DSI-Pro into a fantastic wide-field camera!
The DSI-Pro Wide kit turns your Meade DSI-Pro into a wide-field camera that can use lenses designed for use with popular single lens reflex (SLR) cameras that use Pentax/Praktica M42 screw thread. The two-part kit comprises a rigid steel cradle to hold the camera and a T-thread to M42 SLR lens adaptor barrel. The cradle holds the DSI-Pro camera body allowing full access to the filter holder, and provides a tripod fitting for attachment to all piggy-back brackets and tripods with standard _” Whitworth threads (as the DSI-Pro has no tripod fitting of its own). The lens adaptor is specific for Pentax screw thread lenses only - it is a simple matter to unscrew and replace the DSI-Pro’s standard nosepiece with the DSI-Pro Wide adaptor barrel and then attach your lens, and you are ready to shoot the sky!
The Solar-Mate universal observing shade will greatly improve contrast and observer comfort by minimizing glare. It’s an obvious fact of solar observation that in most cases the eyepiece end of the telescope and observers face will be subjected to the full glare of the sun, and from the simple fact that telescopes fitted with solar observation filters and diagonals can offer moderately dim eyepiece views it follows that the instrument will perform significantly better in terms of contrast and detail if steps are taken to reduce local glare.
When using particularly heavy instruments or telescopes with heavier accessories (large eyepieces, binoviewers, solar observing equipment etc) an extension and counterbalance carrier plate can be purchased which allows the fastening point to be shifted forwards or backwards on the telescope fastening cradle to accommodate telescopes that are difficult to balance at the cradle’s standard mounting point. The plate also allows the attachment of our standard counterbalance weights if required (AC113 is a set of three disc weights of 1lb (450g) each).
The ultimate in lightweight altazimuth telescope mounting with heavy weight performance. Featuring extended slow-motion controls, spring loaded clutches and an ultra quick-release attachment system.
Telescope positioning can be done single-handedly as the quick-release lever is spring loaded for the return stroke and automatically snaps into position on contact. The Trakker is supplied with one quick-release plate and additional plates can be purchased separately (AC670). The quick-release plate can be used to attach all telescopes and binoculars with standard 1/4” or 3/8” tripod fitting holes.
