Key Features
The CASSIOPEIA is the smaller of the two observatories that we currently offer having an external dome diameter of approx 2.1 m (7 ft). It too offers the advantage of a sliding hatch with a secure locking mechanism, something that is not always available on comparable domes on the market. The dome is securely located on a rotation ring that is formed by the wall structure. It rotates freely and is held centrally by a combination of guide and thrust rollers. The dome is easy to rotate by hand but has been designed not to blow around in the wind.
Because security of your equipment is very important, Sky Domes fit an internally mounted five lever mortise lock and brass butt hinges as standard, just as they do on the HERCULES.
