The MaxView Plus system includes a custom storage case
The "MaxView Plus" digital camera attachment system is brought to you by ScopeTronix, the world leader in digital camera adapters for astrophotography and microscopy. MaxView Plus is simply the most versatile digital camera adapter available at any price. This six-piece kit comes in a custom storage case and is perfect for connecting most digital cameras with threaded lenses to most microscopes or astronomical telescopes. Also works for 35mm SLR Cameras. Like our popular award winning MaxView 40 product it is specially designed to reduce vignetting (pipe view effect) when using digital cameras with large lenses. The MaxView Plus kit includes adapters to fit optical devices with any the following attachments; C-Mount, C/S-Mount, T-Mount, 23mm Eyepiece Port, 30mm Eyepiece Port, and 1.25" Eyepiece Ports. It also threads directly to the photo port of the ETX telescopes, the rear port of the C90/N4 telescopes, and the threads common on Meade and Celestron 1.25" SCT visual backs. The MaxView Plus can be used as a high quality wide angle eyepiece with the included thread-on eyeguard as well. The MaxView Plus has an industry standard "T" thread on top so you will need the appropriate attachment Kit (see on-line catalogue) to mate it to your particular digital camera. We carry dozens of attachment kits to fit hundreds of popular digital cameras and we update them regularly so your MaxView Plus will not become obsolete when it is time to upgrade to a new camera. If using it with a 35mm SLR you will need the appropriate T-Ring for your brand of camera (also available from Green Witch).

The MaxView Plus lens assembly
The heart of the MaxView system. A wide field 40mm four-element symmetrical (Plossl) lens assembly mounted in a specially designed custom cell. The lens is mounted only 1mm from the top to maintain the close coupling required to reduce vignetting. Any of the four included adapter tubes thread into the bottom. The industry standard "T" thread on top mates the MaxView Plus to almost any digital camera via an attachment kit. By using separate attachment kits the MaxView Plus can fit more than one model of camera you may own. We carry attachment kits to fit hundreds of cameras and they are updated constantly. This means when it comes time to upgrade to a new camera you can rest assured your MaxView Plus will not become an expensive paperweight like most other adapters!

MaxView Plus with the adjustable length collar extended
The cell also features a unique sliding collar assembly which serves several important functions, it allows quick and easy removal of the camera, it allows you to adjust eyeguard height for comfortable visual use, allows you to adjust magnification when used with a 35mm camera, and allows you to adjust lens position to minimize vignetting with a digital camera. No other adapter has this important feature.

MaxView Plus w/23mm Microscope adapter installed
MaxView Plus shown with included 23mm microscope tube installed. This adapter will fit many common compound microscopes in place of an eyepiece and will also fit 23mm (inside diameter) photo tubes.

MaxView Plus w/30mm (also C/CS Mount) adapter installed
MaxView Plus shown with included 30mm microscope adapter tube installed. The 30mm microscope tube is also internally threaded with a female "C" or "CS" mount. This adapter will fit many stereo (dissecting) microscopes in place of an eyepiece. The internal threads will also screw onto C and CS mount photo tubes. Many other optical devices also use the common C/CS video mount. NOTE: Other brands of adapters use a sleeve over the 23mm tube to increase the outside diameter to 30mm instead of giving you a real 30mm tube. This can restrict the light path (due to the smaller inside diameter) and lead to vignetting and darkened images. Our no compromise solution gives you a true 30mm tube!

MaxView Plus with "T" adapter installed
MaxView Plus shown with included T-Mount (M42) adapter installed. The T-Mount adapter is common on many microscope photo tubes and refractor telescopes with integral T threads on the focuser draw tube. The "T" standard is used by the 35mm film camera industry so many optical devices are compatible with this setup. Most trinocular microscope heads and photo tubes use at least one of the preceding attachments.

MaxView Plus w/1.25" telescope adapter tube installed
MaxView Plus shown with the included 1.25" telescope adapter tube. The 1.25" tube is also threaded for standard 1.25" telescope eyepiece filters. In this configuration the MaxView Plus performs identically to our original award winning MaxView 40 product.

MaxView Plus w/Eyeguard installed
The MaxView Plus is also a great wide field eyepiece for microscopes or telescopes. Just thread on the included eyecup attachment. The rubber eye cup can fold down for eyeglass wearers. By adjusting the sliding collar assembly you can adjust the eye relief for the most comfortable position for your particular vision. The MaxView Plus has very long eye relief so even eyeglass wearers can use it very comfortably. You will not find a more complete or versatile adapter at any price!

The MaxView Plus can be adapted to hundreds of different digital cameras (we just happened to have the Nikon handy at photo shoot time). See our extensive attachment kit list for your camera.

Watch photographed in macro mode (left) - and with MaxView Plus (right), no microscope used!
The MaxView Plus also makes a great macro lens, even without a microscope! The closeup photo (above left) was taken at maximum macro mode with an Olympus C2100 Ultrazoom digital camera (no MaxView). Even though this camera is well known for its excellent macro mode this is as close as it can get. We threaded the MaxView Plus lens assembly onto the same camera and took the picture (above right), no microscope was used. The gear pictured in extreme closeup is visible in the full watch picture, up and to the left of the center of the watch.
Compare the versatility, quality, and value of the MaxView Plus to other extremely limited microscope adapters that fit only one brand of camera and one microscope tube size. Outperforms expensive specialty microscope adapters costing 5 times the price!
MaxView Plus is the only microscope adapter designed specifically to minimize vignetting on large lensed cameras so you can finally get good results with digital cameras such as the Nikon 5700, Olympus C700/720/730, Olympus 2xxx/3xxx/4xxx/5xxx, Sony 505/707/717, Minolta Dimage 5/7/i, Canon G1/G2/G3, Fuji 4900/6900, Sony DSC-S70/80/85 and dozens more. See our complete listing of Attachment Kits for mating your camera to the MaxView Plus.
